Leila was so happy to wear the soccer uniform that her Dad brought back for her from Morocco

 to practice :)

 

The Cranberry Fire Department unveiled a monument dedicated to the first responders from September 11th.  Part of the memorial is a piece of a beam from the Twin Towers.

Leila's class went on a field trip to Lake Moraine to check out the monarch butterflies as well as many other numerous bugs.  I was lucky enough to be chosen as one of the chaperones.

These are some pictures from Grandma's visit at the beginning of September :)

 

Leila's first soccer game was on her birthday and of course it poured.

They had fun anyway and her team won the game.  Leila was excited that she got to play goalie

for half the game, hence the goofy shirt and head gear - haha.

Their team name is Southwood Thunderbolts, perfect for the weather.

 

Leila got to celebrate her birthday a little bit early with Grandma :)
